I recently received an update from MiTAC about the availability of the Mio 8380 Smartphone in Europe. According to MiTAC EMEA, the Mio 8380 will be available for European market end of Q3/September 2003 and launched with operators in Western Europe.

The Netherlands, Belgium and France are - according to MiTAC - the "landing shore for introducing the Mio 8380".

Stay tuned for more detailed information.

Cheers ~ Arne

I have to say it is by far the best Smartphone on the market at the mo, I know I had one for about two days, untill some git knicked it here in Hong Kong.

If anyone wants one, let me know I'm getting a replacement shipped in in the next week or so, I can add yours to the order.

Keni,

How much is an 8380 there in HK? My bet is that you could sell quite a few of them if they have English UI.

morpheus - Make a mock up of the 6600's size with paper (sad I know). It's not as fat as it looks!

Physically it may not be that big, but it still looks like someone has over-inflated a 6610!

OK, you in your "Europe" sit and wait, and we will use UNLOCKED MIOs with Cyrillic-English Interface already in August.
