when dialing a number or doing whatever sometimes the screen is just not picking up my touches very well.

trying to dial a phone number gets so frustrating because sometimes i'll have to keep hitting a number over and over and just in the right place and right manner until it finally registers.

i'm using Waremike's M2D ROM so the screen alignment doesn't work... but i do have the recommended values in the registry already.

are there any other registry entries i could change that deal with touch screen sensitivity?

i have to fix this or i fear i'll smash my phone out of frustration.

thanks for any help.

Are these the settings you put in?

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH]
"DownUp"=dword:000002ee
"CalibrationData"="519,503 177,881 182,129 847,127 849,872"
"Click"=dword:000007d0

that's what i have for CalibrationData

however for DownUp and Click i have 0 and 2000 respectively for the value.

i don't quite understand the settings you recommended.

Over time my screen had become very bad also. Specially toward the right side of the keyboard. I had to press really hard to get it to register. Also when I was doing the screen calibration it would loop sometimes 20 times. Anyway I bought a new digitizer on ebay, put it on and it's like a new phone.. I wish I has done it 3 months ago.

Yeah it's really quite easy to replace the touch panel. I did it the other day following a guide off youtube (ended up using an italian one even though I dont speak it because the video was clearer and showed the steps way better). It was a piece of cake and the screen is amazing. I mainly did it coz I scratched the sh!t out of my old one, but the sensitivity increased as well.

You can also try to reduce the pressure you need to apply on your screen when using your phone:
HKLM\Drivers\Touchpanel
"PressureThreshold"

Mine was originally set at 400, but I changed it to 38372. Pretty sensitive now.
Increasing the value will require less pressure.

I think you should definitely notice the difference.

The first one is for the Verizon i910
The one you linked is for the i900

Not sure why the price is so different though

I'm convinced all the registry hacks don't do that much. If its that bad order a new digitizer and put it on. I tried every tweak possible and finally decided to just replace the thing. I just did it today and it is nearly iPhone sensitive now. I can't believe the difference. They just must lose sensitivity over time.

I bought this(http://cnn.cn/shop/s...zon-p-8463.html) and in under 30 minutes I had an amazingly sensitive screen again.
