Well, like I wrote a lot these past days/nights, I've tested TOO many new 6.5s builds and I found them very good, but not stable for my phone...
Except one, a OCK's UltraLite (build 21892)... and ANOTHER OCK's UltraLite (build 21889)!
Did you notished the similarity?...
THE BUILDS are 218xx!!!
I found that, for my phone at least, every 6.5 build WITHOUT that NEW builds' large buttons, scroling bars, the up-horizontal scroling bar in menus (replacing the TAB options)... anyway, the roms WITHOUT these graphic updates. have NO problem for my phone.

Can anybody write me down, EVERY roms' ver (for example, 21xxx, 23xxx, etc.) they DON'T USING these new large button/bar layout???
It's an easy way to "mark" which roms' vers are suitable/stable for me...

Thxs in advance,
R.

Well try to update to the latest radio, i've been using the PUJA1 and improved alot my performance, etc.. 6.5 isnt designed for omnia so expect in every rom minor problems, and this is for every WM devices. WM isnt a fast OS, it is rather a complexed one with alot of power for customization, tweaking, etc.. Try it the radio update and give some feedback.

My friend... as you can see in my signature... I ALREADY using the new radio, since last morning!!! I was also the one who post a link to share it with other here...
Anyway, I couldn't agree more about your comment for the 6.5s!
6.5s are not based on i900 and besides that... 6.5 OS is NOT a finished product "yet"! Also, Microsoft dropped the project and focused on Win7s, which these new Win7s will ALSO NOT supporting i900 and older phones, than 2nd half of 2010's new ones...!

Anyway...

Any chance someone (a "cooker" even better!) to write me WHICH builds don't have these LARGE BUTTONS/BARS new graphics?? For instance, the very last build of OCK's doesn't working properly on me... But OLDER vers of OCK's, are running fine.

I only installed Ock's roms, and they're very good ( for WM 6.5 ) , but im a 6.1 fan too, dont know if you're too. If so, Khuanchai cooked very stable 6.1 roms, you should give it a try.

Ps: Sorry i usually dont check the signatures <_<

No worry, neither do I! Hehehe...
It's NOT a question if "we like" or not 6.1s or 6.5s... The question is WHAT O.S. IS MORE STABLE?!
I think, unfortunatelly, 6.1s are more stable for i900s...
About KC's 6.1 roms... I already wrote in another topic, KC's Build 21001 ("hacked" from OMNIA II) is BY FAR the best 6.1 around - still, after so many other new builds.

6.1 is obviously more stable for the Omnia as the drivers as well as the phone, were designed for it. The Omnia has very little ram (under 100mb) hence the degrading performance during the course of the day on any given 6.5 rom. I find that the latest official 6.1 rom is the most stable and also has some subtle tweaks, for example, it performs its own memory cleaning service. The internet is also more stable on the 6.1 roms. The 6.1 roms also don't auto-kill applications running in the background and this is the main reason I switched back to the official rom as constant soft-resets were a real pain (memory consumption from 36% to 70-80% in less than an hour using the latest 6.5.3 rom). I also like having the optical mouse which is fantastic for web browsing using Opera Mini 5.

Basically, for stability and everyday use, stick with 6.1.

Btw, 6.5 is complete and it is a joy to use on a HD2 or any HTC device; just runs like crap on the Omnia.

Could not agree more. I am on custom wm 6.1. rom and I am using m2dv1: I have not reset my phone since 2-3 days and the used ram at the moment is 33%.

i can only tell you the ock versions <_<. Latest UL version with classic UI is 21893(but it's not that different than 21892). Other is 21889(the one you use). I think you need to ask EVERY chef wich version has the classic UI . Only this way you can find :(. Good luck.

Haha, good luck bro. The battery is rated to provide a maximum 6 hours of calling. On top of that, you want 4 hours of navigation. Just get a car charger or a dedicated GPS unit because there is no way any phone (at this point of time) can last that long. A dedicated GPS unit with a 4.3 inch screen, can last at most, 7 hours (I think) .

I agree with all of you...
The MOST stable rom I found, I've wrote it thusands times, is the KC's 6.1 from OMNIA II...
The ONLY reason I wanted to upgrade in 6.5s, it was... the dark backgrounds in menus and the scrolling icons!!! Generally, it was a VISUAL reason, not a speed/stability/responsiveness reason!
If I could find a way to... "dark" them (menus/backgrounds) and generally having everything in dark, I would degrade to the KC's 6.1 instandly!!!!!!
(I just HATE these WHITE backgrounds in menus... And my eyes having problem with too bright colors/lights... So, that's why I prefer the dark themes/menus...)

BTW... LIKE KC's 6.1 build I wrote is PERFECT & stable... I think EVERY (almost) "cooker's" UltraLite 6.5, is equal stable/fast... etc.
And it's quite reasonable, if you think about it... Most of the UltraLite roms, having ONLY THE VERY necessary apps.

If you insist on different backgrounds of the programs and settings tabs in wm6.1. roms, try this:

it is the best 6.1 around here but wen u go for visual effects u need to pay price in term of speed.

Indeed... It's the million dollar question: Visual or Stability/Speed?

Same like you, I've tested plenty of WM6.5 ROM, and I found that most of the ROM have some bugs on video call function. On the dailing option, the video call is gray out, antoher ROM are speakerphone malfunction during the video call. Does it yours have these problems?

About that... I think ALL ROMs around aren't supporting video calls. That's my last problem...

Video calling is available on most 6.5 roms by just enabling the samsung dialler skin either directly in the registry or using fav hacks.
