Samsung Omnia GT i8000 is my first Windows Mobile. I googled a lot to find compatible apps/games for this phone, and had to do a lot of R&D to get most of the apps and games working on this phone..

Below is the list of apps and games working on Omnia GT i8000.. This is for all newbie's like me.

I am unable to run 'Audio Box Micro Composer' on my Omnia i8000.. the app loads fine but not full screen.. May be a WVGA version would do the trick.. if any1 has it plz share..

I was facing the same problem with Marbles World 2.. Did a lot of R&D and found the resolution..
There is a file name 'Marble_hires.exe' Go to MyStorage/Program Files/Games/MarblesWorld2 and launch the game by clicking on 'Marble_hires.exe' (You may make a shortcut for the file)... Oncethe game is launched, click on settings and then follow the instructions to assign buttons.. and Njoy the game..

i can run Marble world 2 with "Marble_hires.exe", but the accelerometer doesn't work at all. have to tab on the screen.........

OmniGSoft makes a bunch of games that play nicely on the i920, and they're having a 50% off sale at Handango right now. All their games are available for trial download, so you can try before you buy.

I ended up getting their jumbopack and jumbopack2, which contain each over half a dozen decently fun games, and at half price it's a good deal.

Ok guys, for all of you who is unable to use accelerometer, u all need libgles_cm.dll.. I am attaching the file copy in the game directotry My Storage/Program files/Games/marblesWorld2

Where did you get Avatar HD? I've searched all over the net, and the only thing I can find is the app for the iPhone. That made me think it was exclusive.

I'd die to get my hands on this game!

NO! For accelerometer/g-sensor you don't need ginkage's libgles_cm.dll (but for all OpenGLES1.0-stuff on the i8000) - you need an HTC-G-Sensor-Emulator !

you right.. the HTC G sensor is the one that works.. My Bad..!
1 confusion, I had PBA Bowling installed and I was able to play with touch and not with accelerometer..
Out of my curosity I happened to copy libgles_cm.dll into the games directory and I was able to play with accelerometer..!
I am not a devloper so dont know much about it..

- G-Remote Pro
- putty (ssh client)
- SPB Wireless Monitor

and Games:
- Assasins Creed II (3D) (working fine on KC Lite, didnt on official roms, didnt know why)
- Avatar HD (poor, java like graphics)
- Starcraft WVGA port
- Prison Tycoon
- Totem Star
- Scrabble (need to rotate screen before start)

Any suggestions for a good Anti-Virus for windows mobile..
I dont want to test different anti virus softwares on my phone, coz uninstalling them completely is a pain in *ss.. I need a good 1 to rely on..

As long as you are not downloading dodgy software from the more questionable sites then it's unlikely that you will ever need an anti virus app for your phone.

The only examples tested in labs are Java based but these are not in the wild so risk is still at a minimum.

even i copy the HTC-G-Sensor -Emulator in to windows folder, still can not get the accelerometer work......

-Have you made a softreset?
-When the accelerometer is used for the first time you have confirm the use of the htc..dll
-Every time you start marbleworlds2 (only with ..._hires.exe) you have to activate the g-sensor in the game-optionmenu.

Prince of Persia HD and NFS undercover both do not work on mine(L5 rom). Crash and burn..
