Blackberry Application Suite is supposed to allow you to do this but I can't find it anywhere on their site.... I don't think it was ever officially released

bbconnect_wm6_pro_4.0.0.90.cab has so far locked up my phone
it's stuck at the welcome screen - anyone know how I can go back? (battery pull didn't fix it)

I worked-around using emoze in order to retrieve my company's mail over OWA (as they don't allow IMAP or POP, and I can only configure one exchange mailbox on my wm6.5) !
ROM Version: OCK's WM6.5 AlphaUI version 23569

4.0.0.106 worked on my phone, but it didn't give me a PIN number to use (said something about pending)
has anyone been able to successfully use bbm on their WinMo phone without a BES or BIS?

You do need to have a Blackberry PIN or plan for this to work though.
Edit:

HTC don't make an Operating System. Both devices run Windows Mobile. The difference between the two is the hardware and pre-installed apps among other things. Both Samsung and HTC are phone manufacturers who manipulate the OS they put on their devices. The OS itself is made by Microsoft.

I'm afraid it is not possible to get BBM working on WM. The apps you're talking about, Blackberry Connect, will only get you BB style push email. Problem is, requires either BES or BIS, and it connects to its own APN (or whatever you call it), only mail and pocketIE work with it. Sucks....
Blackberry application suite, would probably get you BBM, yet for start... it only allows BES, not BIS (apparently there where to versions, BAS personal, and BAS professional. Only professional got leaked). But even with BES, no one was able to pass the registration screen, and RIM abandoned the project.
So...
