The Omnia II i8000 Flash ROM software and procedure
P.S. Due to I still haven't the machine on hand . hence, I can 't to finshed the final step!
I accept NO responsibility for any damage caused to your handset before, during and after to Flashing with this software /Procedure,and can be dangerous. Proceed with caution !
A)Flash ROM Softwares
XP OS Computer SP3
ActiveSync 4.5
Samsung CDMA_Modem_4.34
OCTANS Downloader 1.9 /2.0 new version

B)Procedure
In this OCTANS Downloader, Please select and put
1) E.boot
-> Eboot_I8000XXIG1_HW_40.eb0
2) MoviNAND -> PDA_I8000XXIG1_HW_40.MST
3) MultiCSC-> I8000XSOIG1.CSC
4) Phone ->
Phone_I8000XXIG3_REV_04

Successfully flashed form singapore IG6 to I8000ZHIG4 (Thanks to janyung)

first impression, it's faster, since no need to install hk regional setting and chinese fonts,
it save some storage and startup RAM is about 90MB when using spb mobiel shell, versus 80MB before using singapore ROM.you can try flashing this ROM or wait for the official HK rom.

WM mobile version, as from my memory, it's same as singapore IG6 version, using Build 21006 as well :D (Thanks to janyung provide these data and Photos)
Build 21006.1.5.74 is Internal Version

so with the rom provided at the chinese rom thread...it has english on it aswell?

cos for the rom flashing program, can select langauge u use... i select UK i guess thats the reason why...

and play back up ur data and all first for eg, transfer all ur contact to sim or back them up into pc first..

same for any data which is in the main storage..

Also does flashing remove your files from your main 8gb storage?

hi all, how do you flash ur omnia 2? just download e 2 files to your com and connect your phone via usb to the com. input the values to the octans downloader and can start flashing? btw is there a vista version?

we need a proper guide here...step by step, the 1st post is too simplified,
no disrespect previa, you have done a great job, some people just need it to be more detailed to avoid bricking their new expensive toy..
