i am working on 'Gecko' - the appstore from XDA-developers - the orig author quit the project and gave me the source code. When i looked at it, it was something i wanted to do - but didnt see the benefit of working from his source code.

Rather than reinvent the wheel totally tho, i realised that AppToDate already existed and is a great application - and holds most of the data i need for an app store.
the only thing that apptodate misses is a central store and a pretty interface (apptodates interface is perfect for what it is)

Im still working on the winmob gui but pretty much all the server side stuff is done (its only basic really) so i want to start to share what ive done with apptodate devs

firstly,
http://ezmuze.co.uk/...bsearch.asp?s=%

that url will show all apps in the DB that are approved - if you use apptodate and are in this list but DONT wish to be included in the appstore, please email me at mad_ninja_skillz@hotmail.com

if u are not in that list, http://ezmuze.co.uk/...sale/addapp.asp is a simple page to add your app - it wont appear in the previous list till aproved.
i do not intend to vet apps like apple - i just use the approval to stop spam etc.

if you wish for your app to have an icon, please place a 48x48 png in the same folder as your cab on your site with the same filename as the cab, replacing .cab with .png

All comments appreciated.

I hope to have the first alpha of the app itself in the next day or so.
