Hey guys,

I use my phone as my car music player via bluetooth. My car stereo connects automatically with the phone for calls, but I have to manually "set as wireless stereo" every time i turn on the car. Is there a way to fix this?

I have the same issue and of course you realize it right after starting the music playing and the sound just coming out the phone.

Odd, the first time I paired I think I said "add as trusted" or something like that, or maybe something like "Always allow this device." Now whenever my car tries to connect to my phone it just does it automatically..

i will get to try this again from scratch today as I just flashed my phone. I know under Smart Pairing I added the pairing code for my Satechi BM4 (9999), but I think I had that in place last time.

I remember seeing the always allow msg, just don't remember where I saw it and what I was pairing at the time.

What is odd is that I have the exact same symptoms, the headset connection happens automatically and I can make handsfree calls, but to hear music I have to manually make the connection from the bluetooth menu.

Yeah, there is some settings that will make things automatically connect when they're in range. Its always worked with my BT Stereo Headphones (old Moto HT820's.) Play around, if no go search the forums for BT programs, theres a few ones that are supposed to overcome some annoying obstacles like that.

I was able to give this another try when I went out to the car.

I have always had Smart Pairing on and also turned on Make this device visible to other devices.

When the Satechi in the car came on I immediately got a msg on the Omnia that it wanted to pair (they were not paired since I had flased the Omnia.) I went ahead with pairing and they were auto connected and played music fine.

However once I left the car and came back the audio was back to playing through the Omnia only and I had to connect as wireless stereo. So I still don't know how to get around this.

One workaround that look promising when testing it with my BT headphone is A2DPToggle 1.1.010

It give you a button that toggles the audio back and forth from Omnia to headphones (and hopefully car adapter) with a single click.

Now I just need to figure out how to make it show up somewhere obvious in WM 6.5 with Touchflo.

I was using 6.1 and am now using 6.5 and it still doesn't seem to work.

Is there something you have to do/set or is it supposed to be automatically automatic?

I have tried a2dp toggle and for some reason when i click on it, nothing happens. I am running winmo 6.1 with spb3.

i found this in a german omnia board but i havent tested it because i dont use a2dp.

Install:
copy AUtoA2DP.exe to /Windows and start it. There should be no message, just a registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Notifications\AutoA2DP_b y_xiaojin1985
Uninstall:
Run AutoA2DP.exe with the parameter "-u", "AutoA2DP.exe -u"

Works for me too with my A2DP headphones, I will try with the car system the nex time I go out.

AD2PToggle also wors, switching the audio back and forth from headphones to phone speaker and back.

This doesn't work for me.

Every time the bluetooth audio adapter in my car is turned off then back on, I have to open up the bluetooth settings and manually connect it.

Isn't the above .exe supposed to auto reconnect?

I'm having the same issue with my pioneer radio. Hopefully some more light can be shed on why we can't get our phones to autopair.

I'm using AD2PToggle now to connect and it works, but it's not automatic.

I think this will be the first and last WinMo phone I ever buy. This phone reminds me of the old saying.... "Jack of all trades, master of none". It tries so hard to be a little bit of everything; that it isn't good at anything.
