Well here goes... I think I may have bricked my phone AGAIN... This time in a completely different manner.
I have the Verizon i910 omnia and just last night I flashed the new ROM on my phone. I was successful this time and was having zero issues with the new ROM, everything was working perfectly. My programs from the old ROM are loaded on my storage card along with Spb Backup and a bunch of other programs.
So... what I did first was load some of the basic stuff, like my contacts and text messages, etc... nothing fancy. My phone got through booting completely and that works fine too. So what do I want to try now? Of course, I want to see if I can load all of my programs from the previous ROM. Apparently this is a big mistake.
I'm trying to recall exactly how it worked when I was loading it, but when I choose the backup from the old ROM, Spb backup informs me that I'm using a different ROM version to load from. Ok, so I'm a little sketchy about this but I allow it to go ahead, with the option of overwriting programs checked (I believe)...
It loads everything from the backup taking slightly longer than usual, than resets the phone.
Here's my issue now: My phone will go to the boot up screen, and the animated gif screen (which btw has a different animated gif from my old ROM) and then it get's stuck there.
I've attempted to hard reset manually using the hard buttons since obviously I'm not getting to any other screens but that does not seem to be working.
I'm thinking of maybe flashing the new ROM again.... but I just did a backup of all of my old programs, so maybe one of my current problems is overload already, being that I was kinda low on space in my old ROM as it was and was loading onto the new ROM which might have a couple things added.
Any enlightened comments or suggestions would be welcome.
UPDATE: THANK (insert deity choice here) IT WORKED!!!!
I just reinstalled the same ROM as some people suggested. Thank you all very much for your suggestions. The reason why I was hesitant to reinstall the ROM in the first place was because I had just installed the full backup with all of those programs, and the directions for the ROM installation want you to hard reset first.
Anyways, I'm extremely relieved so once again thanks!!!
