The Lenovo S10e XP version is available at DABS for the same price as the Linux version.
I know it's .5GB less memory but at least its available in Black unlike the Linux which is only available in white at the moment.
One person on DABS claims this is a 3-cell battery and not 6-cell so may be worth checking before hitting the "buy" button.
Also under the specs it states that the model has 1GB and supports 1.5GB max?

Yeah, as we say on the 'cast it's due to the Atom chipset not supporting more than 2GB RAM. So it looks like there's 512MB soldered on to the board, meaning if you add more than a 1GB stick it won't work!

Also - 3 cell ftl, after the awesome battery life of the NC10, I wouldn't go for anything less.

Yep I know about the 2Gb after listening, what I was trying to get across is that the 1GB version states that it can only have 1.5GB max so the memory module on the 1GB version must be a 512MB rather than a 1GB as most would expect.

6-cell would certainly be better but not sure how one reviewer on DABs claims it is only a 3-cell when the specs do not mention how many cells it has.

Is there not some licensing thing that means you can only license XP for less than 1GB of RAM, and above that, the OEM needs to supply Vista?
