Since I have problem with the old cab file when I play sound on CorePlayer or TCMP it produce noisy sound but it is ok with window media player and touch player.

So I have made another cab file that use contain only exe control panel that actually use R2VS_ARM_WM6_PRO_Driver.dll of i900 not the dll of i760.

The new cab file will work perfect on any music players without a noisy sound but it seem everything work except the equalizer of R2VS did not work. I think if we can get the exe control panel of Samsung Saga i770 it will work 100%.

For those who try to get a working SRS WOW HD please try this:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank to all the contribtors to this thread you are all unbelievable to make R2VS working on Omnia i900.

R2VS is 3D Sound, Equalizer, 5.1Ch Effect sound enhancement for Omnia (just like SRS WOW HD)

I made a new working cab out of the box so no need to manually edit the registry at all.

Fix registry to work with Bluetooth Stereo Headset was added. B)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

:(
I think i770 has newer version of R2VS coz I saw it has different short cut icon but I don't have i770 so I can't tell if it true or not

If it uses R2VS_ARM_WM6_PRO_Driver.dll or newer exe I will try port it Omnia i900. :(

Anyone here who has Samsung Saga i770 can you check what does is the dll in registry or Windows folder ? Is it R2VS_ARM_WM5_PPC_Driver.dll or R2VS_ARM_WM6_PRO_Driver.dll or something else? can you post the dll or registry related to R2VS or its dumped rom ?

I have search the web all most Samsung phone that come with Windows Mobile has R2VS like SCH i770, i760, i750,...
B) I think Omnia i900 has R2VS but it does not have control panel to configue it like in the attached image.
Can anyone here make R2VS work on Omnia i900? :(

Attachment settings_r2vs.gif

nice find, second u for that :( . would be great if we could get some awsome sounds on the omnia.
some people tried SRS WOW HD but the project met a dead end :( too bad.
i ogt a little question to pros: there are also some other samsung fones that come with 5.1 surround sound, is it hardware decoded or software decoded? can we get this to work on the omnia?

I knew Omnia i900 has it because of dll & registry of R2VS but it is was removed \window\R2VS.cpl control panel. I think if we can get R2VS.cpl from i780, i770, i760, i750 we will bring R2VS to life on Omnia i900

Thanks but application seems cannot find register settings. Looks like R2VS register data from i760 differs from i900. Maybe modifying the omnia reg would solve the problem.
Could you post your i760 register data for "WaveDev" and "R2VS" Keys? Id like to give it a try.

I have Omnia too. But here is the settings you wanted: (only i found in i760 rom, while searching for R2VS or WaveDev)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\TaskMgr]
"ModuleExcludeList" = multi_sz:"R2VS_Effect_Control_Panel.exe:0"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
"volshift_default"=dword:00000000
"volshift_btrdy"=dword:00000000
"volshift_btcall"=dword:00000000
"Priority256"=dword:00000064
"Order"=dword:00000001
"Index"=dword:00000001
"Flags"=dword:00010000
"OutputDevice"="s3c2440x_wavedev.dll"
"Dll"="R2VS_ARM_WM5_PPC_Driver.dll"
"Prefix"="WAV"

If I remember correctly, I once saw a rom, where r2vs was built in. (Near christmas, maybe PhamQuang's)

Thanks but looks like the r2vs regkey contained in wavedev is the one needed. Ill search around for some more info.

Simply add to registry key "Wavedev" value(dword) "IsHeadset" = 1 and R2VS Settings starts without headset.

Hi Thanks for the tip. I followed your instruction and the control panel correctly starts. The 5.1 channel tricks work and 3D effects work, but equalizer settings do not.

I was wondering why SS didn't include this in the so called "All in one Phone". I know why now. It doesn't work 100% and they didn't bother fixing it up.

I learnt from web searching that they have a replacement technology so R2VS is now obsolete and they didn't want to work on that anymore. But why didn't they include their new 3D programs in Omnia?????

This R2VS Settings Panel work only with "R2VS_ARM_WM5_PPC_Driver.dll" from SCH-i760.
Place this dll to Windows folder and edit registry value ″Dll" in "Wavedev" key.

I've created a cab file with all the needed files and registry entries from this topic but after a reboot my sound is gone (headset+speaker) and doesn't work at all, the only thing that seems to work is the R2VS control panel window itself but no errors, well just when playing a mp3 it says: "wave output: device error", after an uninstall of my cab file everythings seems to be ok again... so something is still missing here B)

So it contains:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\TaskMgr]
"ModuleExcludeList" = multi_sz:"R2VS_Effect_Control_Panel.exe:0"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev]
"volshift_default"=dword:00000000
"volshift_btrdy"=dword:00000000
"volshift_btcall"=dword:00000000
"Priority256"=dword:00000064
"Order"=dword:00000001
"Index"=dword:00000001
"Flags"=dword:00010000
"OutputDevice"="s3c2440x_wavedev.dll"
"Dll"="R2VS_ARM_WM5_PPC_Driver.dll"
"Prefix"="WAV"
"IsHeadset"=dword:00000001

and the following files are being placed in the Windows folder
-R2VS.cpl,
-R2VS_ARM_WM5_PPC_Driver.dll,
-R2VS_Effect_Control_Panel.exe

Install this CAB and change registry value:
"OutputDevice" wavedev.dll to your Omnia original dll (i dont know, maybe s3c2410x_wavedev.dll or zylonite_wavedev2.dll). Or (better) remove this value from CAB.
If no sound, change value "Flags" 10000 to 2.
