1. The cold boot is very long, your Vox is not stuck, let it finish!
2. The ROM boots in English, to change the language go to "Settings" -> "Regional Settings" and change the Language and Locale!
3. If you want to change the keyboard layout go to My Documents\Keyboard Layouts and install the respective *.cab (uninstalling brings you back to English qwerty) - thanks sblop!!!
4. If you want Clear Fonts, install the attached *.CAB! - thanks Dr. G
5. If you want the pictures taken by the Camera to save into (Storage Card\)My Documents\My Pictures install the second *.CAB I attached! - only applies to WEE version

I re-flashed my SPV E650 with this, it was really easy to do (I will admit to being scared witless :excl: that I would brick my phone but actually thats quite difficult to do if you use the included apps and instructions!)

It has certainly given my old(ish) phone a new lease of life - I'm loving the extra WM6.1 features and the included programs such as the Java environment are a great improvement on the orignal software set. :excl:

Well done FH; you've done us proud! :excl:

Yes, you did not USPL your device! Read the xda-devs Wiki page on it: http://wiki.xda-deve...gename=vox_uspl
All the necessary tools come with the downloaded ROMs, they are in the VOX_USPL folder!
After you did that you can flash the ROM! (Make sure to downlaod the right language^^)

FH,

All in all this ROM is an excellent improvement, it feels a lot faster & more responsive - great work...!

One very minor problem is that I can't get the grey background back for the 'Sliding Panel Media' home screen.

I have put the color scheme onto 'Grey' with the 'Background image' as default, but the blasted thing seems to have vanished! <_<

Can you help, is the grey background image in another location?

Thanks in anticipation,

Daz.

Why don't you simply use the theme with that background and customize the panels with CHomeConfigurator?!

Frauhottelmann,

I think my CHomeConfigurator is broken <_< because I get a 'Error while loading from the registry InvalidOperationException' and it wont let me go into most of the panels to change them, it only lets me go into the ones with an asterix (*) next to them. Unfortunately there are only 3 with the * & they are the ones I don't want to change!

I solved my initial problem by making myself a 320 x 320 grey background in paint & saving it to the phone.

The version of CHomeConfigurator is 1.1.0.5, Win Mob 6.1 CE OS 5.2.20262 (build 20282.1.3.6).

Cheers,
Daz.

The error doesn't stop the program from working. And with customizing I meant turning on/off panels. You can only customize the panels with the *! All the other panels have functionality like music etc
