Changing font colour to black/dark colour font colour

Is it possible to change the font colour of the apps. that are on the 'Start' screen to black or a dark colour?
I'd like to use a screen shot other than the Windows or Baubles but as it's with a very pale background the lettering of the apps is not really visible.
I've been through the various 'settnigs' but nothing obvious it seems.

I'm afraid not. The font color of app is its default situation. You may not change it on your mobile phone setting. So if you want to let app more visible, you only can change your mobile phone's color or background to do that. :)
