Hi all,

Many (or most) of my reminders on my Blackjack II from my calendar occur multiple times, even after I dismiss them. For example, I have an appointment set to remind me 15 minutes before. It will remind me on time, and display the reminder on the phone. I will dismiss, and then a few minutes later the same reminder will sound and pop up. Even if I don't dismiss, I'll get the same reminder again, and it'll show it twice on the phone. Then it'll sometimes remind me AGAIN at the actual appointment time.

In some cases, the duplicate reminder will actually occur minutes or even hours AFTER the actual appointment.

I can "solve" this problem if I select Menu -> Dismiss All at the reminder screen for the first reminder, but that's sort of annoying to have to do.

This problem is particularly annoying if I'm in a meeting, and the reminders are always recurring.

Does anyone else have this issue, and more importantly, does anyone have a real solution?

I've got Windows Mobile 6 Standard (CE OS 5.2.1620, Build 18125.0.4.2). I'm on AT&T in San Diego, California.

Thanks for any help!

-Kevin

It's happening to me too. Never hours later but usually a few minutes after I dismiss. Didn't happen until I upgraded to 6.1, but you say you have 6. weird.

I don't use activesync, I am connecting to an exchange server via att wireless and it only seems to have this duplicate reminder problem on appointments I created on the phone, doesn't seem like it happens for appointments I or others created or created for me in outlook

Anyone else having this problem??? I can't necessarily confirm that it only happens for appointments created on the phone (and not Outlook), but it seems right.

This is also happening to me. In 6.0 It happened with almost all appointments, it did not matter if the appointment was set with the phone or through Outlook on my laptop. I would have some give the reminder after it was dismissed up to two days later.

It happens less often with 6.1 but it still does occur.

On my HTC Diamond Touch running Windows Mobile 6, I receive two reminders for each appointment. That is, a reminder alarm sound, I pull the phone out, unlock it, click the reminder icon, and then dismiss the reminder. Then, about 5 minutes later, the alarm sounds again. (I'm not hitting snooze - I'm hitting dismiss). I have to repeat the procedure for every event. It's a little annoying. Anyone know why this might be happening?

Many thanks!!

do you sync to multiple places? (outlook, dashwire, myphone, etc.) that may cause dupes.

Thanks, but no - I only sync to the one Outlook account. I can't hlp but think that the issue is somehow related to non-sync'd times somewhere - as if the phone is seeing two different time triggers.

I get this problem on my HTC Touch Diamond (wm6.1) also. I've read a forum post somewhere stating that in Settings > Sounds and Notifications > Notifications > choose Reminders and untick Repeat. Unfortunately my Repeat option is greyed out so I can't change it.

I was able to fix the greyed out problem and removed the tick from "repeats" but I still get two reminders for every event.
