I agreee though that HD´s screen is far more better then Omnia´s

The HD's camera isn't good? I thought it was 5MP too with autofocus and all. The camera in the Omnia is still better?

Sure its 5mp, but if the object is moving faster then 1cm/year the picture is a blurr.

Omnias camera is also 5mp

Off topic: And Omnia's camera has many more options like smile detection, etc.
Omnia has LED flash, but HD doesn't so forget about taking pictures in clody day, indoor, in the afternoon, at night, etc. (when/where isn't enough light...)
Omnia's video is far more better than HD's with resolution and bitrate.
And the faster processor of Omnia improves camera performance. :off
HD is more sensitive than Omnia and there's nothing we can do.
Anyway replacing Omnia with HD isn't really smart decession.

this is what worked for me:

Improve Screen Calibration
1. Open your Registry Editor(PHM Registry Editor)
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/TOUCH/
3. Click on CalibrationData
4. Value Data change to > 519,503 177,881 182,129 847,127 849,872
5. Click OK to save it.

You may also wish to copy down the old data before you input the new one.
My OLD Value Data was 505,512 172,875 163,147 846,148 829,876 and yours might be different a bit.

Omnia camera is awful when taking pictures indoor or at night, despite the led flash and the settings recommended elsewhere in the forum.

Buy yourselt a HD, but remember, you have been advised

Ill say it like this:

If you do not intend to use the camera, buy the HD.

If the camera was good, i should definitive had keept the HD

I don't understand this... The question wasn't about the better device. It was asking if there was a way to increase screen sensitivity. So, if you don't know a way to do that, why bother to reply? (Respect people's decisions, please...)

By the way, calibration and sensitivity are close and related, but not the same thing. The HD screen reads your finger position on screen, without requiring that much pressure to be applied. Calibration cannot correct that. Instead, a better calibration would give you more positive matches, between the point you physically touch and the point your device calculates and understands...

So, please people... There might be problems which cannot be solved. It doesn't mean we all would dump our devices and go shopping everytime.

I have both smartphones at home (in fact we have my wife´s IPhone 3G also), and I was just telling my opinion after using HD and Omnia for some days. I was not asking for advise but giving a different point of view for those who intend buying a smartphone.

Back to the point of the original post, for those who didn´t have a chance to use both smartphones: screen sensitivity of HD is much (I mean much !) better than Omnia.

So the fix proposed does not work for you? Have you tried?

How long have you run your device after the reg change above?
Has it had any affect on the battery life?
Has anyone else tried it yet?

Those are the calibration values (the stuff you set when you align the screen); shouldn't have any effect on the battery.

Emre makes a GREAT point! This change will make where you press on the screen more accurate, but it doesn't seem to change how hard/light you have to touch the screen for it to respond.

Ihave got both Omnia and touch HD too and if anything I think that the most sensitive screen is the Omnia's (I also think is almost too sensitive)

I still haven't decided which of the two is the better phone: Since I drive a lot it annoys me a bit that I have to start a voice dialled call by pressing a button on the Omnia instead of just pressing my bluetooth headset like I can do with the HD (I have installed Cyberon speed dial on my omnia); but I find a bit irritating that The HD turns into landscape mode only if you browse with Opera (not with explorer) or if you watch pics with a specific app (no WMP or anything else in landscape mode in the touch HD) ,

Did anybody find a solution to these bugs?
And more specifically about the Omnia: did anyone try to install .net3,5 on it? I have installed (and activated it ) on the HD and all the system , specially the browsing improved noticeably; has anyone tried it on our beloved Omnia?
