Flashing your device's ROM involves risks and can be dangerous. I won't take any kind of responsibility for any damages caused if anything goes wrong.

Version DXIA1, LFI05 revision "b" (Jan-19-2009)
What's new:
- Samsung Volume Control (Fullscreen) removed. Original WM Volume Control takes its place
- Samsung Keyboard is the default SIP (no need to install .cab available in PS2 below)
- Media Album is back, so you can view picture files without installing other app
- Same Program/Storage free space
There is no need to flash this revision if you're happy with Samsung Fullscreen Volume Control.

Version DXIA1, LFI05 revision "a" (Jan-16-2009)
- Full XIP & SYS port from Hermes (thanks to bbs.xbeta.cn)
- CE OS 21014
- Build 21014 Aku 1.6.0
- We are back: FM Radio, Favorite Settings, Games
- Free Storage: 162MB
- Free Program: 68MB

PS1: Finger Mouse does not work properly.

PS2: If you downloaded LFI05a and want Samsung Keyboard to be the default keyboard, install this cab.

Version DXHL2, LFI04 revision "b" (Dec-29-2008)
- Stock XIP & SYS

What's new:
- Single .exe updater is back for safer and easier ROM update
- Removed more useless files
- Optimized a few .exe and image files
- "Cosmetic" changes in startup and shutdown .gifs and .wavs
- 160MB+ Free Storage Space

Disabled:
- Samsung Dialer *
- Security Warnings for unsigned CABs
- Error Reporting
- Customer Feedback

Removed:
- Almost everything

Added:
+ .NetCF 3.5

Known Issues:
* Disabling Samsung Dialer frees up to 10MB memory, but also disables Video Call feature. If you want Samsung Dialer and Video Call enabled, change the value from 0 to 1 in registry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin] "Enabled"=dword:0, then soft-reset.
** DivX VOD Registration removed, but icon is still present.

If you intend to use Widgets, install Flash Lite 2.1, otherwise install 3.1 to have better browsing experience with Opera.

"YouTube friendly" Opera is available here (9.5 b2808).

*** NEW ***   Opera 9.5  b15233 to be installed in Device Memory is available here.

You decide which version you want installed. :)

What about Samsung Today 1/2 plugins? Are they removed too?

Nope, mainly because:

1. imho they don't take too much space and

2. there are many people who like them, so if you want to use them, just install .NetCF 2.1 and you're ready to go!

Nice try, i would like to try it out, but still waiting on more feedback from others who have.

One thing tough, I don't believe that there is anybody out there that would want office removed. I know it can be reinstalled, but you should have kept it in in the first place. every one gets and excel or word mail attachment every now and then, even if they are not business users.

But generally thumbs up for a clean rom.

ppl please try it and lets us know

oalex, thanks for your feedback.

i understand your point of view and thinking this way you are right, but the goal i want to achieve is to free MB from main memory.

if needed, i can post an office .CAB or .MSI to make it easier for everybody. since office mobile comes pre-installed in omnia, posting the application for omnia installation is not piracy.

this is my first custom rom... i know it will never, ever, be the best one for everybody.

i know there's a lot of room for improvements here, so your feedbacks, opinions and suggestions are always welcome to help bringing an optimized newer rom!

It's not true - just flashed your ROM and Samsung Today 1/2 is available (I don't complain though).

ROM seems to work very well, responsiveness seems to be better than J9 ROM.
Thank YOU!

Removing office is not that bad at all - I will install it from official Microsoft installer to My Storage instead of Program Files

you're right! i made a mistake, so correcting what i said: samsung WIDGET needs Adobe Flash Lite 2.1, samsung today 1/2 don't!

I always install Spb Mobile Shell (commercial but I recommend it to anyone) but for those who don't own it - Samsung Today is better than nothing

So Widgets can be used also if we install .NetCF 2.1 or there are removed? I hope it doesnt conflict with 3.5 version.

Downloading now thought to check it out!

Lufeig, any chance of an M2D version.

I love stripped out ROMs, but need M2D in my life.

Bobobird, tried that ROM, response is in that thread. Cabs can be found here...

http://vitaln.com/eh.../omnia/cabs.cfm

and here..

http://sultanaa.com/awg/CABs/Omnia%20softw...%20(ALL%20NEW)/

Anything you can't find will be somewhere in this forum.

Good luck.

So this is my attempt to bring this community a clean, fast and stable ROM.

How's the GPS reception with regards to TomTom with this rom?

Why this ROM has 103.19MB Total Storage only with a lot of things removed?

LTEO2 has more (111.88MB) even with office still intact

i think you should remove samsung today 1 and 2 too.

You didnt remove samsung widgets?

If you want M2D - help yourself, I don't want this creepy interface on my Omnia.

EDIT: sorry, my bad!!! widgets need Adobe Flash Lite 2.1, not .NetCF!!! sorry for my mistake!!!

as fas as i know there are no improvements regarding TomTom and Omnia's GPS communication. i think this incompatibility issue will be solved when a new TomTom version be released.
igo 8 works like a charm!

no, i didn't. maybe in a next version... i just started reading about how to cook a rom yesterday!   but if removing them will allow greater main memory space, and if a .CAB version would be possible to be installed, then i'll probably do it! thanks for your tip!!!

that is not the purpose of this rom, but one day, maybe, i can release a M2D cooked rom... by now, knowledge lacks for me!!!  :(

anyway, you can find in this forum a thread which provides a .CAB to install M2D in your omnia... i don't think it's difficult... good luck!  :) :(

i know about the cab my friend, i used to use it on other ROMs like yours (DrDots, xxxholic, PaSSoA LTE).

thanks for response, when you have learnt how to get deeper into cooking process, i would defo be looking at one of your ROMs (again, downloaded this, but not flashed yet, tried DXHK3/PV06 earlier).

I will be learning soon, maybe i can do it??

Thanks for quick and honest reply.
