One word only: WONDERFUL !!!

I think this is the best ROM that my precious Omnia can have  Additions and substactions hits the target.

I want to see this one to be updated, please prepare future versions, please :D

Thank you so much PaSSoA !

Edited for a question:

I think this skin is very good but I just wonder if it is possible to use other Manila skins that can be found in below link with this ROM:

Hey people, if you had read the M2D complete guide by robf80, I had posted a few pictures of a cooked M2D with a few applications removed. After 2 days of testing, it is ready for use. Please note that this may contain bugs that I have not discovered, so use it at your own risk and, of course, I am not responsible for your device :D

Removed apps:
- DigitalFrame
- FlashLite2
- GoogleLauncher
- NetCF2.0
- PhotoSlides
- Podcasts
- RssReader
- Samsung Today 1
- Samsung Today 2
- Samsung Widget
- Samsung Main Menu / Launcher
- Shozu
- SliverInbox
- TaskSwitcher
- Welcome Center
- Windows Live

Added:
- NetCF3.5
- Working FlashLite3.1
- Magic Button
- Coloured Opera buttons and menu
- Total Commander CE
- Manilla2D update19 (optimised for Omnia's resolution) - thanks to all who contributed in the other thread. Youtube program not included as with FlashLite3.1, you can view it directly from Opera ;)
- Manilla2D Customizer v0.13.154 (forgot to add a shortcut in programs, you can find Manilla2Dconfig.exe in the \windows\ folder)
- GPS tweak as suggested, not sure if it works though.. and a few little others
- Comms manager as suggested, does not really like Omnia's resolution and may be a little buggy, but it works. Will search for an alternative for the next version.

Note:
1) After accessing "All Settings" from M2D tab, the "Settings" shortcut under the start menu stops working, I'm not too sure if it's inherent to M2D or it has something to do with the large start menu. Will investigate for the next version, M2D02...

2) When you start GoogleMaps the very first time, click yes to all the security warnings that will appear. Omnia's security policies are a little different to other builds so it doesn't want to be disabled.

Installation:
- Unrar with winrar or similar program
- Run .exe and follow instructions
- As with normal installation, perform it on a WindowsXP pc with proper modem drivers installed.
- If you are having problems after flashing, perform a hard-reset and try again.

Download Here

Please try not to mirror it as I would like to know the amount of downloads, I will try to upload it on another server soon.

Have fun and please report any bugs or suggestions.

Thanks to Paul for this brilliant site, GSeeker2 for finding a good ROM kichen at PDAClan, the very helpful guys at PDAmobiz and all others who contributed at the custom ROM discussion thread. Cheers!

Hello, awesome rom. just wondering, is it possible to take off magic button and total commander for your next release? many people use different task managers and such. Thanks!

Can we please get an update to this with UC support? Pointing to an Autorun.exe on the My Storage would be nice...

Yes, just copy the whatever-theme.zip to \Program Files\M2DC\Themes, open Manilla2Dconfig.exe, you may want to backup default theme/settings first. Then, go to themes click add, search for the whatever-theme.zip and click ok. After that Apply Theme and you're on your way. Change the htchomesettings.xml to fit the Omnia resolution and you're done.

Not too sure if it can be done on Visita, but I think it throws out some problems. There is no way to install FlashLite3.1 as the original ROM had FL2.0, only way to use FL3.5 is with a cooked ROM :o

Some shots on how easy it is to customise the theme. Props to the author of M2DC and M2D skinners...

Like the work I've done for you?

Then I would really appreciate it if you could help me out.

It will encourage me further and of course produce better work.

Nice work. Are the removed programs available as cabs? Without Windows Live there is no Hotmail which I use, and I also like the Taskswitcher as it can be called up from any screen.

Thanks for the hard work on this. Long may it continue.

A bit of feedback:

1) Audioplayer seems buggy to me - when I try to update my library it seems to freeze. Though the first time it did update my library and froze when I picked a track.
2) If I use Touch Player and then try quitting out (hitting the X in the top right) it seems to be hit and miss on whether it works or not.

Brad

PaSSoA ... you deserve a medal. This is really great, I never liked spb mobile shell because it didn't really change the phone itself except for extra layouts with a press on a button. But this ... this is just awesome. Very nice looks, nice animation, and a professional look. Thank you for the hard work you put into this. I just flashed it, if I notice any sort of bugs I'll be happy enough to report them to you. Battery life was awesome with DXHJ1 if DTHJ5 comes close I couldn't be happier. Spb mobile shell always seemed to drain the battery.

Anyway, this isn't just a skin, it's a complete new interface
