Hi everyone,

I just recently purchased an unlocked Omnia, which I am currently using with at&t. However, I am not able to use the web browser/connect to medianet/use mms. Does anyone know what settings I can adjust or what I can do so that I am able to use the web browser and send MMS messages? I have the unlimited data plan...

Thanks!!!

Go to Start->Settings->Connections->Operator Settings

and see if AT&T is there...

Ever since I started with ATT I have used the same procedure:
- run att settings DNS & TCPIP.cab
- Change connnections to both use MediaNet
- Turn off proxy
- run attsettings2.cab (I think that this gets rid of the "hidden" proxy)

There may be an easier way of doing it, but this has always worked for me on every winmo phone and every ROM.

I'm in usa and i can't figure out MMS settings... argh... call me a noo'b or stupid. but i bought this phone in place of the Iphone in order to do many things that the Iphone doesn't do and one of the most important and #1 feature and reasoning was to be able to send MMS picture texts.

my phone is not showing any operators other than CURE, and some others. but no AT&T, and i believe my phone is a unlocked singapore model / version.

Can someone help me, please.....

It shouldn't be this difficult, what do i need to do in order to make the phone send MMS messages?

my plan w/ at&t is unlimited everything, so it's not my sim or plan... it's this darn phone doesn't have a auto reckonizer or something

is there a step by step program somewheres, no one seems to be able to detail how to set settings. i'm lost, a detailed picture info thread or etc would be worth so much to those like me that have no clue as how to open a phone and do this stuff.

Hmm, you shouldn't need any sort of operator setup.

Steps:
- copy cabs to phone, then use file explorer to run the first one.
- go to settings-> connections tab, select "connections buttons"
- select "advanced" tab
- Press "Select Networks"
- There will be two drop down boxes. scroll the first on the "MEdia Net", it should be the first entry but it may not be.
- Select "edit..."
- select the bottom tab that says "Proxy Settings"
- Untick "this network uses a proxy..."
- Repeat for the second drop down box. The Proxy should be off, but sometimes it stays on.
- Run the second cab file.
- Soft reset
Good luck!

soft reset - you mean turn off / on the phone?

i got the web to work, but this damn phone keeps bringing up the "cure" for MMS settings... instead of using MEdia Net.

thanks for everything so far. ok, what do i do to get MMS working.... why is this program CURE coming up? is it something really used over seas?

Thanks mkc_vx! I have spent every available moment in the past 2.5 days trying to get my i900 to work in the states on AT&T. I appreciate the easy-to-use steps as I am, as some would call, a no0b when it comes to these WM phones. :)
