Hi,

It 's not a samsung theme but SPB mobile shell soft.

It IS a Samsung theme. Only for some reason it was only included in the ROM the unwired tested.

The best black theme I have seen is FlatBlack.tsk a black and white theme which works very well. Place in the Windows directory and select from today themes. I am not allowed to upload file but I guess you will be able to find it at XDA-Developers or through google.

Regards

Stu

Create a zip file with the tsk inside. This can be uploaded. I did this with the Tmobile metallic theme for the Omnia.

Done

On the latest roms DXHI1 & 2 it should work straight off. For older roms the start menu color may apear black on black.

To resolve this you may need to change the color of your today start menu text. That's done by editing the registry HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Colors. Variables 4 and 39 are the main ones, 39 being start menu color and 4 being Today item text colors. 4 should be added or changed to FF FF FF 00 (white), but you can have it whatever you want (00 00 00 00 is black).

In the windows folder then select start setting today and select flatblack from the list. I use the Samsung Today 2 theme in the items

Also the text for my mail, message and call log remains black even though the other text is white. Anyone know how to change the samsung menu colour to black as posted in the pic in the 1st post on this topic?

The real question is can someone get a hold of that open market ROM being used in the video i900XXHG7/XFHG7 (PDA) and i900XXHG7 (Phone) ;) . Then the tasty bits can be extracted and shared :( :D <_<

Todayscreen is perfect!! Only the "Main menu" as shown in my first post is still the same after installing the cab. seems like that part is missing?

This one looks great! I'll see how it looks like with a fully black background... is there an easy way to get that or do I need to use a black picture as a background?

Correct... I have the same... only the icons on the main screen look different.

I think I will stick to flatblack, which already looks very nice!

Indeed, the icons are a bit different though... it's a matter of taste!

Install the silver or black SJ cab (I am using silver the black has a problem for me  ). Then switch to SS Today 2. Then use the flat black and take a photo with your finger covering the lens of your camera and use that as your back ground picture for the flat black ;) :(

More or less what I did... but do you get a black background for the Samsung Applications (so when you click on the "house" from the main screen)?
