I've had my new HTC Touch for about 5 weeks now, I was enjoying taking pictures and videos on it but until a week ago I cannot use this feature anymore, the hard key on the side opens the camera or I can use the link in the menu but neither of these now work, when I do try to start up the camera the phone freezes until I press the stop key on the front right of the device.

I have un-installed all programs I had installed from when this problem started but the problem persists, I think it all started when I installed (and immediately un-installed) the 'today" windows vista look CAB... Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Have you tried a soft reset?

He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

If soft reset doesn't solve the problem, try hard reset but make sure you back up your data first.
