ok, my photo is now geotagged, im sure i can upload it to google earth or somewhere where the photo's geotag will be recognize and automatically zoom in on that location and pin it. so far i havent found any site that recognizes the geotag format of omnia, i have tried flickr and panoramio, so far they havent read the geotag info of the file i have uploaded, anyone know a site that recognizes this info?

Good point... when I was making pictures in previous ROMs that were giving apparently good coordinates (like HH3), I assumed uploading would not be an issue, as I had done that a lot with my previous PDA (Eten X800), to picasaweb.com (from google)... but if I try now with pictures I had taken when I had HH3... it does indeed NOT work either!!! :D

How come ETEN (who are not known for their quality of software) get this sorted out right from the beginning, but not a much bigger company as Samsung, even after several ROM releases??? It can't be that difficult guys, come on! ;) :(

Hi MA,

How did you solve your problem with geotagging? When I took a photo it shows long=0 lat=0 and alt=0 despite Im sure gps has a fix on camera.

Cheers,

Do you see a while satt icon in the top left of the camera screen?

The latest ROMs have geotagging working fine... if you upload such a picture to picasaweb or similar, it will pinpoint the position where it was taken!

Ahhhh, G4. Those earlier ROMs will always show a satt icon. If the gps has a fix, then the icon is white, otherwise greyish.
