WOOHOO!

From PPCSG...

Quote

Yes, This ROM have the haptic feedback when you press on keypad and keyboard. But it is only effective with samsung keyboard. If you install another keyboard (ex: resco keyboard, PCM keyboard) or default keyboard of windows mobile, It will not feedback when you press.

...

I went to Samsung Customer Service Centre in Summit Subang Jaya with print out from ppcsg about the new H1 ROM. I asked them to upgrade to this new ROM.

At the service counter, I told them that I want this new ROM since the existing ROM (G4) does not have haptic feedback when using the Samsung Keyboard/keypad.

To my surprise the lady said that the new ROM does exist and they can upgrade it for me BUT she told the ROM still does not have haptic feedback for the samsung keypad/keyboard. It made me confused a little bit.

Anyway, I just told her to proceed with the upgrade. It took approx. 1 hour and after that she brought the newly flashed device to me BUT this time she told me that my OMNIA has haptic feedback for the keypad/keyboard!

See....even the Samsung people also surprise about the return of haptic feedback.

For your info, apart from the return of the haptic feedback, there are also many other upgrades with this new ROM. There are:

1. Finger scrolling in the native Program and Settings.
2. Extra pages in Main Menu.
3. Scrolling button floating in Main Menu, make it easier to browse through the Program in Main Menu
4. Integrated Clock

Awesome!

The fact the haptics ONLY work in the Samsung keyboards means they have implemented it properly. I NEED this ROM now! Haptic keyboard = WIN for me!

Here is a video of what is beleived to be H1
http://www.theunwired.net/?item=videoview-...open-market-rom

The scrolling in system and programs is a big plus. The fast switching and addition of animations is also good. Can't wait

DXHG4, 4th version of Jul. 2008, released early Aug.
But we shuld think that DXHH1 is a release version or not.
If DXHH1 is a release version, it will be online in a month.
