If you get 'Incorrect Software Version' when trying to update, here's the fix! :D

Quote

  • Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer
  • With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#
  • Select 'Preconfiguration'
  • Enter code *#81230*# and select OK
  • Select 'Singapore', with the default Operator
  • Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET
  • Run update, and all should be well.

It worked for me at least :D

Finally, Courtesy of member 'broughs'...

This procedure also works for changing the language on the i600 with a different region update.

Should have mentioned I found it in the i600 section :D

Apparently it only works with generic (non operator) firmwares...

Most simply way,

1. Find i900DX+NULL(0000h) as UTF-16 in DXHG4 Updater, using a binary editor.
2. Change i900DX to suit for your Software Version, i.e. i900XX.
3. Update normaly.

WOW FINALLY it worked
the registry thing i was able to do but that didnt solve the problem as my phone was already in DXHG version
what happened is for some reason my windows vista was cuasing the problem
i tried the WINDOWS XP udpate on my othe rcomputer and to my surprise it worked :-O, but it had a 'port create' error on the 4th file and i thought it got bricked! But it turned on but it wasnt fully updated ithe PDA was DXHG4, but the Phone was still HG3. So then i connected it to my other windows Vista computer and it updated as well! NOw its fully updated
so if uve Tried EVERYTHING, the registry fix, the change operator fix, then try Windows XP update!

Hi,
Can you confirm if the DXHH1 updater is a full (4 part) updater ? Is it an English version (My Omnia originates from Singapore) ?
Finally, do you know if this H1 version solves the G4 problem of "not waking up from sleep" problem ?
Initially with the F8 ROM I had no problems, but with G4 I have to soft-reset regularly because of this.
Thanks,
Frank

DXHH1 is PDA part only. Too early to confirm fix of 'standby of death' problem :D

Phone part is the radio, so doesn't correspond to features.
