Hello.
I have a Samsung Blackjack i601 (Telstra).
I originally flashed it with the leaked AT&T WM6 Rom and was successful.
Because this ROM lacked features I require, I tried to return my ROM to original WM6 using
Definitive guide to debranding your WM5 i600 guide.

Except I used the file i600_WM6_XXGG2 instead of Firmware_i600XXGD1
It started the process, uploaded an OS and then stopped doing anything.

Now when I put my phone into bootloader mode the phone is stuck on
* USB Downloader - Open v1.1
[Phone] Active Off

If I take the battery out and try to power on normally, it goes straight to
* USB Downloader - Open v1.1
[Phone] Active Off

I read that if I leave it t time out it will return so I left it on, and waitied for it to timeout, which it did after an hour.
The phone turned on as normal (no sim) so i thought I would start the process again and tried to put it back in to bootloader mode.
But it didnt go to the normal bootloader mode it went to
* USB Downloader - Open v1.1
[Phone] Active Off

again

How come It is in this Active OFF mode?
When it is in this Active OFF mode windows can not see the device in Windows XP.
What do I have to do to fix this phone?
After waiting for it to come out of Active OFF Bootloader mode, the phone started up, I went to see what Version was loaded and it said i607UCHA (or similar) The important thing here is that it said i607, where mine is a i601.
How can i get it back?

I got the similar problem. Now the phone function is disabled. And it cannot be recognized by my PC running on XP. No suitable Samsung Modem Driver can be found.

By keying in *#1546792*#:

Windows Mobile 6 Standard
CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)
Radio Version 0
RIL Version 2.002
... ...

By entering into Setting mode:

PDA Version
i608ZTGI2

Phone Version
(it is left blank )

Eboot Version
i608ZTGI2

When trying to enter into BootLoader Mode, it simply shows the following and it cannot be recognized by the PC when connecting it with the USB cable:

* USB Downloader - Open v1.1
[Phone] Active Off

Anyone here would be kind enough to shred a light on how to troubleshoot this symptom?

Many thanks.

hello guys if you can access the pda part then you should check the post #9 of:
http://www.modaco.com/content/i60x-i60x-mo...-flash-it-back/
It should work for i600,i601 and i607.
If you can't access pda, then with the power off do the next key combination:
power + camera key + left soft key (not the right one as usual)
This should show you a string on the top of the screen that tells you to enter into rom configuration mode by pressing
space or zero, simply hold your space key until the string disappears, the phone will show bootscreen like an hour and then
it will boot to homescreen as usual and it should work fine ,so if your battery is low charge it with the travel charger
and then follow the link above and check post #9,
so let me know if it worked, good luck ;)
