Here it is people, the one you've all been waiting for (or not)... MoDaCo Podcast One, featuring Chris Brunskill (aka Monolithix) and Paul O'Brien (aka Paul (MVP)).

Sharing our views, activities and the news in this weeks Windows Mobile world.

Subtitled 'Arsing around with Skype recording', this is our first shot at laying down some sort of content, with a view to doing it better and more frequently in the future!

Talked about in this episode (just under 60 minutes!):

- Windows Mobile 7 (and a bit of 6.1)
- Windows Live Messenger and the 30 day debacle
- Navizon
- Smartphone GPS setup
- Sssshhh... the Vodafone leaked roadmap!
- The Touch Dual / Plus
- GPRS Charging
- WMWifiRouter
- Newsgator

Since this is our first shot, we REALLY REALLY REALLY appreciate feedback, good and bad, in this topic! If you liked it, or want to hear more, say so - and subscribe to our new Podcast RSS at http://feeds.feedbur...m/MoDaCoPodcast

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. We've submitted to iTunes too, so should be on there in a bit. The RSS thing is a bit complex so not sure how that's gonna work out, but i'll be keeping an eye on it.

Paul, you need to trim 4 minutes off the end - it restarts about 2 minutes from the end too.

This is definitely a very cool idea, however I myself would rather have video than just audio. Visuals would definitely help, and make it even more interesting than it already is. You could even keep it as a podcast by just taking the audio from the video, although there would be something lost from the visual.

Tired of waiting for the Tilt, Kaiser, P4550, 8925, Vario III, TyTn II.

We were ultimately planning on making it an enhanced podcast with chapters and images, which would help. In the future we can make a list of relevant links too. A video would be nice, however Paul and I live 161 miles from each other!

Ahh 161 miles is nothing but a light jog. It would be great for your health. Get your heart rate up a bit and then you get to talk about all things WM lol.

Really enjoyed the podcast. Was telling Mono on Palringo what a great job you guys did. Was cool to hear Mono as the front man! :)

Points I made to him there:
1) Great Job! Interesting and extertaining.
2) Could used some post production editing next time to make it more concise.
3) Short opening intro, segement seperating audio, ending cridits would be cool. (Please...short intros...some padcasts have 3 minute intros...hate that)
4) Mono says UMMM alot. (Not an insult. I do too when speaking..many do) :D
5) Maybe a tad too long....30-40 minutes would be best with Special Podcasts saved for hour long episodes.
6) Couple of reference you made that werent really explained. Something you both understood...but not all of the listeners.
7) Nice job attempting to stick to Segments. Would personally like Hardware, Software (Commercial & Freeware), Games, Software related, Site News segments...maybe a "hack of the week"?
8) Be cool if Modaco threads, downloads were referenced.
9) /me thinks Mono sounds like Stephen Merchant at times :D
10) Originally thought size was huge...but only a few minutes to download on phone. And it IS an hour long after all.
11) Better Show Notes with links would be cool as well.

All Cool....keep up the momentum with regular podcasts. Weekly? BiWeekly? Many in the past were consistent and then you hear nothing after a while. Great Job...keep it up!
