Here's my personal list of must have FREE software for the Juno... all IMHO, YMMV etc. etc. ;)

This thread will be updated as I add stuff, and feel free to suggest additions yourself!

:(

P

ClockOnTop - top bar digital clock

Inbox Extender - add 'Delete All' and 'Mark All as Read' options to your inboxes.

MoDaCo DoNew - adds functionality to create new Word and Excel documents!

MoDaCo Google Search - changes Windows Live search in PIE and Windows Live to Google.

Palringo - Palringo, text, push to talk and image chat for your device. Install and join the 'MoDaCo' group!

PhoneSharpMT - Got a blog that supports an XML-RPC API (most do!)? Use your nifty keyboard to post to it with this application!

SKTools Lite - useful tools for cleaning registry, notification queue etc. Has additional options for freeing RAM quickly.

SKTSync - sync your device with a time server. Useful to install after you've just hard reset the device

Vito CopyPaste - adds cut and paste functionality. To install, copy EXE to device and run. To use, press and hold action key!

Which ones did you try? Some are files that you have to install from the computer.

I can't get this to work, I installed it twice and it confirmed installation but I still do not see either option.

Did you copy the CAB to your phone then install? It worked fine for me. I just go into my text messaging inbox and hit the menu button, and down at the bottom it has the options "Mark All as Read" and "Delete All."

Thats exactly what I did. Hmm. I wonder if something is interfering with it working. I'll uninstall and retry it.

I was holding off from unlocking it (no real reason) but that fixed it. Thanks

Not sure if it's a must have but for those looking for a screenshot app, Ilium Software has a freeware that works very well. Once you open the application, it will map any number key, *, or # so when you are on a screen you want to capture, just click on that button and it will save the image in your My Documents folder. Only downside is that it only saves in BMP format so they are larger files than like PNGs. But can't really complain since it's free. :(

FYI for Palringo you can use it with the 5.99 tweak however you have to edit some settings first, you can find the info here:

Just wanted to add some applications to this list:

SmartToolkit - Gives a "Vista / XP" like interface on the phone
Available at the following link: http://www.smartphone-freeware.com/downloa...-1-00-rc07.html

Google Maps - New 2.0 version with GPS-like capabilities based off cell towers
Available at the following link: google.com/gmm (from mobile phone)

Also, the ability to watch video online - YouTube, GoogleVideo, Veoh, Daily Motion and many more
Credits for this go to - http://www.allshadow.com/
You need the following applications:
TCPMP for Smartphones 0.72RC1 - Available Here: http://www.allshadow.com/wp-content/upload...phone072rc1.cab
Skunkworks FlashVideoBundle - Available Here: http://www.allshadow.com/wp-content/upload...videobundle.CAB

The ability to stream internet radio using Windows Media Player:
Check out the following links for online radio stations:
http://www.1club.fm/mobile/
http://feetup.org/wiki/MobileRadio
http://mobile.surrea...m/streaming.htm
http://www.tuned.mobi/
Most of the above links have stations that will stream over EDGE speeds

RSS Reader

Viigo is the best RSS reader I have found so far for the windows mobile platform.
Available at the following link: http://virtualreach....ownload_wm.html

DIVX Player
There is also a free DIVX player (http://www.divx.com/mobile/) available but I have not used it since installing "
TCPMP for Smartphones" which runs much smoother and supports multiple formats.

Pocket DIVX Encoder
This is also a free program for encoding video for the mobile devices
Available at: http://www.pocketdivxencoder.net/

There are more excellent applications available but my fingers are tired. I will try to post more soon.

I'm having problem with the Vito CopyPaste. I'm using Windows Vista Business and have Windows Mobile Device Center (since Active Sync is just for XP). When I double click on the VitoCopyPaste.exe, Windows tells me that "VitoCopyPaste.exe is not a valid Win32 application."

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steve

Put it on your phone then run the .exe.
