Hi all,

I take the liberty of informing you about a new application. Under this URL you will find a FREE camera streamer that transmits live video directly from the built-in camera to your PC. It runs on Pocket PC and Smartphones with WM5. With the DLL (for PC) it can also be used as webcam for VLC and some messengers. The device must be connected over ActiveSync, and the firewall must be configured properly.

On device you can select one of the video formats that the device can generate. Here are the possible video formats (four-character code, width, height, frame rate) of two devices, on which the application was tested:

HTC S310 (USB with 10 MBit/s)
YV12 176 x 144 @ 20 fps
YV12 320 x 240 @ 6 fps
YV12 352 x 288 @ 5 fps

XDA Neo (HTC Prophet)
YV12 144 x 176
YV12 240 x 320
YV12 288 x 352

I am VERY interested in the listed video formats of other devices. If it works on your device, it would be great if you could tell the name of the device, the possible formats, and the (estimated) frame rate. Also the USB transfer rate would be interesting.

Version 0.04 is free and has no limitation, NO adware, NO virus, NO spyware, and requires NO registration.

Warning: On Zone1 you will also find much old stuff, don't be irritated.

Have fun!

Thanks and greetings

HTC MTeoR
YV12 160 x 120
YV12 320 x 240

I'm using VG Camera Version 0.05 and it works fine. I had to uncheck PixelCorrection and SwapUV to make the picture look right.
