Guys,

Can someone please tell me if its possible to go back to WM5? If so then do I just attach my device and install GD1 again?

WM6 is ok but there are just too many problems with MSN and synching hotmails etc. I'm always having to turn off the device and turning it on again as the GPRS/3G/HSDPA always stops working even though its connected!

And on MSN it keeps saying "No Wireless Network Available, MSN Is Trying To Reconnect" like every hour or so, and also when I send messages it keeps saying "Message Could Not Be Sent, Please Try Again"!

Bloody annoying!

Thanks

i have not done it myself but, i have read that applying GD1 again is the way to go. too bad you did not back up your phone before upgrading to wm6. i just did it last night and i am loving the new wm6 interface and features... so far so good. i did create a backup just in case since i had personalized it with many apps and shortcuts (homescreens, colors, etc.). i highly recommend sprite as a backup tool for the smarthphone.

good luck!

Yeah, it would be nice if you could tell us, how do you did that. Or someone else maybe. I'm expecting my brand new i600 (German unbranded) in a few days and i want to update it to WM6. But in case WM6 is not so good, i want to "downgrade" to WM5 again. How can i get an original ROM for a i600.
Or if someone knows and could tell me how to save my original ROM i would be very happy, because i don't know how to do that.

Thank you and Greetz

I found the official wm5 for the i607 ( don't try that on i600's - the hardware is different!) using the wayback machine. 'Live' links will always point to wm6 but the wm5 update is still there for the i607 once you find the URL. Was there ever an official package with wm5 for the i600?
