Personally I don't see why everyone raves about this phone. It's slim, it's clamshell, but I don't think its a nice looking device at all. Especially the outer casing.
Still shame for the people who wanted it

Despite being a ppc fan, I have been watching the smartphone developments as I would be interested in having a phone factor device as well but have to say I was sorely disappointed. Its ugly, the screen is tiny (compared to the size of the device) and its performance was slow.

And today, arrived my Qtek 8500 from Expansys, with a Voda contract, and a Jabra headset, 1gb memory... all free :-)
I honestly dont work for expansys, but would definately recomend them! Because they just put -£xxx into your shopping basket when ordering a tarrif, and they have EVERY phone ever made, even imports that aren't release you can definately get what you want. And if the phone is cheaper than the tarrif "kick-back" then you just top up ur basket with accessories like i did.
Only downside with expansys is if your choosey about your provider. THey only have tarrifs from Voda and O2. Nothing from Orange or T-Mobile.
Oh, and for all u guys saying it not a pretty phone, well, 2b honest... it isnt as nice as i thought it would be, but it is far and away the best windows smartphone available!

I really hope it's a bogus rumor as I have been waiting for this phone and know of at least four NON-WM users who are waiting to switch carriers to get this phone.

I disagree - looks pretty nice to me + its a little bit unique when everyone else has the RAZR
Anyways now need to decide if I buy one from expansys (about a 1/2 hr drive for me) or not.
Probably depends on whether I can persuade a network to give me a cheap M3100 / Vario II or not.
If not then I'll have this for my gadget fix!
James.

Shame we won't be getting it here, but then, I think the market demand would be quite low at best.
