Finally thought I'd be brave  and test my backups (I've had too many issues with back up software over the years!) . The Hard Reset was scary enough waiting for the backup to load was nail biting. Thankfuly SPB backup seems to work almost faultlessly - I lost the lat and long settings on the Today Screen Sun & Moon plug-in but everything else was fine :(

did a hard reset on my vario ii as it was crashing a bit too often. all went well, very easy. took a while to set up everything as i like it and get activesync to put all my contacts back. but worth it. no crashes since despite reinstalling most of the stuff on before plus one or two extra.

if your having problems don't be afraid of this.

What if the hard reset doesn't work??

My dad just installed one of the DialPad skins from ZombieNexus and is now getting nothign but a white screen. I had no problems with the skin I installed. When trying to hard reset gets no response what so ever. Removed battery and inserted again. Same thing.: :)

Hey there,

I hope someone can help me here...

I have a T-Mobile MDA Vario II and I installed a program called nyditot.

It asked me to soft reset the phone... when I did it, it hangs on boot, don't even appears a windows mobile boot screen. Hangs on the startup (T-Mobile screen)

Now, I can't restart my phone... I tried to hard reset, but didn't work... Just hold the buttons below the screen and then the reset button?

I did that, and could not hard reset it :)

Is there anything I can try?

Thank you for any help!

The Hard Reset procedure is:

Hold down the two soft-keys (the ones below the screen) and while you have them held down you poke the reset button with your stylus. You'll then see a message on the screen saying 'press R to reset, X to exit'. Pressing the R key on the keyboard will hard-reset the device. It'll now take a few minutes to reboot and load all of the operator customisation etc.

Good luck and hope it solves the problem with the password! ;)

Oh....and welcome to Modaco! :D
