Your title is misleading since the i-Mate Jam comes SIM-unlocked straight out of the box :)

Interestingly this isn't compatible with the Orange M500 (yet?). Apparently the M500 is a different model number to the Jam/Compact/Mini, PM10B rather then PM10A... :)

This claims to unlock the HTC Blue Angel too (XDAIIs, MDA III, Orange M2000).

Careful folks, be sure to read their disclaimer first as they (XDA-Developers.com) are refusing to be liable if this tool breaks your device. They also point out that it's not reversible so once you've sim unlocked using this method there's no going back...

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T USE THIS APPLICATION!!!

I am going to the US TOMORROW and thought I would use this to see if I could bang a cheap USA sim card in my handset.

I am now looking at a very expensive piece of garbage.

My handset is completely unusable.

Orange M500.
Junk.
No triband, texts, mp3s, games for me on the flight.

Don't do it.

Hi, silly me just got a T-Mobile MDA IV From the UK which I bought via eBay. Smart cookie as I am although I handsomely paid a lot! for it didn't realize it has a SIM Lock.

I have seen a lot of options from the net that offer to unlock it but really can I trust them? Is there anyone out there who can recommend me a serious way to unlock it that will not add to the £30 that I paid only for the shipment!!! :D

send me an email to eremecz@gmail.com if anyone knows how to unlock it!

Thanks

Estebanero
