Does anyone know when Orange are going to release this as a download / upgrade for the C500 ?

I read somewhere that you will not be able to download this from Microsoft, but the suppliers will release it themselves.

I keep reading all these posts asking about WMP 10 for the C500, what's the anticipation all about?

Phones: Nokia 5.1 -> Nokia 503 -> Nokia 3210 -> Nokia 3310 -> Sony z7 -> Nokia 3330 -> Orange SPV -> Sony-Ericsson T68i -> Orange SPV C500 -> Orange SPV M500 -> HTC Touch Diamond

WMP10 is far better than WMP9 and I want it.

Perhaps this is what the fuss is about?

Good reason for fuss indeed. I'd be a subscribed if it (and WMP10) were launched in the UK on the C500.

I don't want Napster, I just want all the other benefits of WMP10.

You are right. No one seems to know when, or even if, this will be released. Sorry : (

Ahhhh, if you subscribe to a napster like service in the UK if one becomes available, won't that affect the amount of data you download every month, meaning you will have to go for the expensive Orange gprs plan?

Yes, but don't Orange have their own music download software which they want people to use?

With all the GPRS costs, I'm sure they wouldn't mind a known brand like Napster entering the market, especially if the C500 (on Orange) remains the only network smartphone available in the UK.
