Oxios have just released a FREE plug-in for displaying Tasks on your homescreen :)

Quote

With Oxios Plugins, your Smartphone will display your current Outlook tasks on the Home Screen. Oxios Plugins can activate Oxios ToDo List or the builtin MS Tasks Application.
Oxios Plugins for Smartphone

Plug-ins are components that can display information on the Home screen. With Oxios Plugins you can choose more than the standard plug-ins.

Oxios Plug-Ins:
Tasks PlugIn
Displays all your current tasks.
Navigation with the pad.
Compatible with Oxios ToDo List or the builtin MS Tasks Application.
Configuration in Registry.
Compatible with MS AllDayEvent PlugIn (so you can overwrite it to use standard skins).
Since OxiosTasks uses the same standard tasks database as the builtin MS Tasks Application, tasks created and synced with MS-Outlook on your Desktop PC will be displayed in the Home Screen.
Full Layout+ (Sample Home Screen)
More Plug-Ins in the next version...

  • Interests:The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

I guess I should have read the HTML file, eh?
But please help me (and others) out.
HKCUSoftwareOxiosPluginsTasks

Restriction: value="[DueDate] = "%s" and [Complete] = 0" or value="([StartDate] = "%s" or [DueDate] = "%s") and [Complete] = 0" ...

SortProperty: value="[StartDate]" or "[DueDate]" or "[Subject]" ...

SortOrder: Set to 1 to sort in descending order or 0 to sort in ascending order.

What do I change the Restriction Values to in order to see all tasks? I dont know what the "%s" wildcards mean. I'm assuming that the %s = today? I've managed to get all except complete to work by changing the value to: [Complete] = 0

That works very cool. Look forward to more plugins.
(I'm sure it's disrespectful to ask if I can launch another program by clicking the action button....so I won't.)

I assume it switches through the tasks on your today screen constantly ?
I remember a beta task plugin by one of the members here that did that and it cut the batterytime down by hours.. :?

First: Original SPV (Canary) > then: SPV-C500 > then: Qtek 8310 and HTC Wizard > then: HTC S710 > Now: Apple iPhone :)

It's not automatic. You switch manually by pressing left and right while over the plugin. Clever.

Clever indeed :-)
If the forthcoming today plugin from PowerCalendar isn't what I am waiting for I'll use this one

First: Original SPV (Canary) > then: SPV-C500 > then: Qtek 8310 and HTC Wizard > then: HTC S710 > Now: Apple iPhone :)

Congratulations Oxios!! :)

I think this is a brilliant plugin - all the functionality for tasks that I have been looking for - and full customisation!

This is the future! I hope to see more plugins produced by compnaies for accessing/displaying their apps via the homescreen.

A great plug-in :)

One bug though - The plug-in will only launch Oxios To Do if it has been installed in IPSM and not on the Storage Card.

So is there anyway to make the program not tell me there is not To DO List before it kicks me into the MS Taks that came with the phone. Very annoying... :)

I was wondering that too!

I just DL'ed the trial version & it is installed in my main programs list (not in a sub folder), although it is on the storage card. Every time I get the 'oxios todo list cannot be found' message until I open the app manually. Then the plugin will return to oxios todo list.

Should the app be installed to the phone, or is this a slight glitch??
